The immune system is the body’s defense against infectious organisms and other invaders. Whenever I say this sentence, it reminds me of the movie Osmosis Jones with Bill Murray. If you saw that, the animated part of the movie takes place inside his body. It was an actual defense line to eliminate the outside attackers. Watch it with your kids if you want them to wash their hands after using the bathroom, playing outside, or invoking the 5 second rule. LOL
Anyways, this tea is to help you body’s natural defense be stronger. They need all the help they can get!
Ginseng’s traditional use is to fight against fatigue and also, as a tonic for invigorating various systems of the body.
Astragalus is a Chinese herb with properties that strengthen vitality, stamina, disease resistance, and improves the ability to cope with physical and emotional stress. It contains numerous triterpene saponins (astragalosides I-X, isoastragalosides I-IV and soyasaponin I) as well as polysaccharides (astragalan, astraglucan AMem-P) and isoflavones (calycosin and formononetin)
Chinese herbalism nicknamed the Reishi mushroom “the mushroom of immortality” because of the rumoured mystical powers that it granted to those who consumed it. It is often compared to the lotus flower from the Buddhist traditions in terms of its significance as a spiritual symbol. For the Chinese, longevity was inseparable from spirituality and those who pursued life-span development were also seen as spiritually “advanced”. The two pursuits definitely go hand in hand since the longer you live, the more time you have to meditate, pray and do other spiritually advancing practices! Although it is great for the whole body, red (the most commonly cultivated and most medicinally active) Reishi mushroom benefits the Liver and Heart organs foremost.
