You’ve got your peanut butter and jellies. Ham and cheeses. Ruebens with extra thousand island. But what none of them can claim is the title of The Perfect Sandwich.
You have your protein, dairy, carbs, veggies… And what is this miracle sandwich, you ask? In our house, we just refer to it as The Sandwich. You can hear the capital letters in speech. It’s perfect because my kids will eat it. Eagerly. Without complaint.
You will need:
2 Slices of Bread
Sliced Turkey Breast
1 Slice Provolone Cheese
1/4 an avocado
Toast the bread.
When the toaster pops, take out one slice and put the provolone on the slice still in the toaster. Leave it in there with the door closed so the cheese gets melty.
Spread the avocado on the other slice. If it’s too ripe to spread, cut it up instead. Put the turkey on the avocado.
By this time, your cheese should be melted. Take the last slice of toast and put it on top. Enjoy!
