Do You Have An Appliance Wish List?

Need!

Or do you already have exactly what you’ve always wanted?  For me, I’ve dreamed of owning a Viking range since the first time I saw one many, many years ago.  I’ve looked at every model, but this is the only one for me.  I cook for a crew (husband and 3 grown sons) and most of the time I can’t fit all the pots/pans I need on my electric stove.  Plus, I grew up cooking with gas and miss it terribly.

We moved to sunny Florida in 2004 and since then I’ve cooked all

Have :-(

the dishes for every holiday on ranges similar to this one to the right.

Cold food storage is a problem for us, as well.  There isn’t enough room to store 1 week’s worth of food for our family of 5, and I definitely don’t want to have to shop every few days!

Ugh.

Thankfully, we have a freezer in the garage, but I end up freezing things I’d rather not just because space in the fridge is so limited.

Now, since I’m dreaming here, I can add

Need!

this beautiful Viking fridge to my wish list! I mean, really, who wouldn’t want this?

Every time we run to the big box hardware stores I have to make a run through the appliance section and drool over the latest models.  Some day I’ll have what I want.  Until then, I’m dreaming and planning! Do you have appliance dreams? If so, are they modern or retro?

  1. OMG I don’t have any appliance wants, but I love kitchen gadgets! Not that I have room for any of them, but I want want want!!

I do love my kitchen. Ooh, but a self-cleaning fridge would be AWESOME.

I love your kitchen! It’s so bright and open with plenty of room to move. :-)

I have tons of kitchen appliance wants, but do I really NEED them? Eh, some things yes, others I’ve learned to adapt without. As for kitchen gadgets, I can’t seem to get enough–even when it’s something I may never even use! *laugh* I’m addicted to them. You know, a nice plastic storage bin with a lid comes in handy for all those extra tools you only need to use on occasion. Store it on a shelf in the garage!
